Staff Technologist (Repair – KSB)
What you will be doing:
- Conduct physical inspections of EMEPMI equipment being repaired, using OEM/ EM checklists and other tools as required
- Ensure repair vendors comply with safety, controls, quality, documentation and other contracting standards
- Engage with vendors to identify potential equipment reliability/ integrity improvements
- Share technical and equipment knowledge within the work team to build overall team competence
- Take personal responsibility for developing own technical and leadership abilities
- Ensure quality technical input for equipment repair and reinstatement is based on sound business principles and best engineering practice
- Provide oversight on overall quality and effectiveness of equipment repair processes/ workflows for offshore equipment, from removal, repair assessment, scoping, execution, testing, handling, shipment, & final re-commissioning
- Actively engage in the investigation and implementation of improvements following work quality incidents
- Lead or participate in the investigation of safety, maintenance or environmental incidents
What you should have:
- A recognized Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
- Typically more than 5 years of experience as a maintenance practitioner in a hydrocarbon processing industry
- Demonstrated ability to implement change
- Good communication skills, both in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Effective computer skills
